TCELS and Mahidol initiate a Project on Advanced Medical Robotics Center

Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS) has formed a cooperation with the Center for Biomedical and Robotics Technology (BART lab) Faculty of Engineering, Mahidol University. The first project of cooperation is Advanced Medical Robotics Center with a total budget of 1.2 billion baht. The first phase of development would be setting off the center with the budget off 400 million baht with 200 million baht dedicated to building the five-floor office building with 8,000 square-meters office and lab space. The building will be ready by 2020, and the latter 200 million baht will be used in the investment of high-tech testing machines. The testing facility would be ready by 2021. The testing facility will be capable of providing the international certification and standardization of the medical and biomedical and robotics, given the strength of Mahidol University in research and development of medical robotics and its medical faculty, hospitals, and schools. Mahidol University and the BART lab would be a pioneer in innovating medical robotics.
