APEC Life Sciences

Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Life Sciences Innovation Forum (LSIF) was established in 2002. It has since grown to become APEC's leading initiative on health and health sciences innovation.
It is a tripartite forum that meets annually and engages representatives from the highest levels of government, industry and academia to create the right policy environment for life sciences innovation. The LSIF brings together scientific, health, trade, economic and financial considerations to address the challenges of infectious and chronic disease and ageing populations.
As the focal point of life sciences industry in Thailand, TCELS has played the lead role in linking both the public and private sectors to mobilize experts to join APEC LSIF and share relevant experiences among members of APEC economies. During the APEC LSIF’s Planning Group meeting, participants propose projects to obtain financial support from APEC. For Thailand, TCELS has prepared a variety of proposals for support from APEC.
